Harbourfront Location
The Rosedale Hotel sits directly on Portree Harbour, offering views over the water and the coloured houses beyond. The hotel is a short walk from the town centre and provides easy access to attractions such as Ben Tianavaig and the Cuillin Hill mountain range. Isle of Raasay is visible across the water, and the hotel's pier-side position means guests watch fishing boats and cruise ships come and go.
Seaside Dining
The Rosedale Restaurant is an intimate dining room on the 1st floor with views over Portree Bay. Dinner menus focus on fresh, seasonal produce with an emphasis on local seafood, including dishes like fish and chips and venison burger. Guests should note that dinner reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis and are not guaranteed for hotel guests.
Accommodations & Character
All 18 en-suite bedrooms are set within a converted cluster of fisherman's houses, giving the hotel plenty of character and quirks. There is no lift access, so rooms are only accessible via stairs, which adds to the historic authenticity.
